How do you feel that va has influenced your rhymes?
Va is a really tough place to be accepted, and the things u go through here you may not experience anywhere else..The trends change like the weather and people are very outspoken and blunt about anyone trying to make a name for themselves on the scene..and its only because we as a state have been overlooked completely by labels and hip hop/music in general...2 of the...shit...4 or 5 of the biggest artist to date come from here..Trey songz, Chris Brown, Missy, Pharrell, Timberland, Teddy Riley...I cud go on...yet va as a whole gets skipped over year after year...we r definitely one of a kind...they say its sumthin in the water out here that breeds stars..I incorporate Va in my music because its what I see...what I live...anything I have ever went through or over came it was from here...welcome to the commonwealth baby!!! Come on vacation...more than likely leave on probation..VA
What is the story behind your name and the reason you changed it?
Well when I was 17 I had just came home from boot camp and all my peers gave me the name Allstar because my swag and flow reminded them of Fabolous and at the time he was just coming out so he was the popular guy...when I came home from my 3 year bid at the age of 23 I immediately got involved with the nightlife and club scene and hosts and djs all though out the 757 were callin me The Fresh Prince Of Va...so I attached the moniker...after doin some extensive research I realize there were already a few"Allstars" in the game already and a fresh prince of every city state and country...so I decided to be young fp..but as of recently I jus got a new management and label situation with Archerville Media and we came to the conclusion to change my stage name to starlife...its more marketable, self explanatory, and its a brand I have been pushin since taking my music career serious..and it just suits me
What's next for you?
Work work and more work...trying to get as much exposure as possible...shows,blogs,
Who do you listen to?
I listen to EVERYBODY...and I mean everybody...I study the industry...what its looking for what works and I apply it to myself and my actions as an artist.
Who are some of the artist you've worked with?
I'm brand new, I haven't worked with anyone as of yet...a lot of people are reaching out to me now however and I'm always open to collab...especially with a dope artist..
How many mixtapes have you done?
only 1 as of yet..new one scheduled for release in late April early May...

That I'm just a regular guy at the end of the day with dreams of becoming a star...I have been through real life situations just like everyone else , my goal is just to overcome them and try and get the world familiar with who I am

Idk...lol...I would probably be a car salesman or something along those lines...I have the gift of gab...mouth piece on 1000 and I could sell a heater to an oven...lol

Music evolves every 5 years so I'm not surprised at all by the current state of it...as a matter of fact I embrace it and I'm tryin to catch the wave we're currently in..artist like curren$y, and wiz and drake have opened up the door for artists such as myself...ther is a lot of good and bad in the current state of music but the balance is great...the good inspires me and the bad teaches me what not to do and what trend not to follow
Well technically I'm not in the game...I'm an aspiring indie artist,but I have wrote music since I was 9....didn't take it serious career wise until mid 2010
