*FORTE BOWIE*

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE GAME?

I just want to bring my aspect on life to the world. And at the same time bring back the substance and originality the industry once had. I don't like to talk about what I'll do. I'd rather people just see it.

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?

Michael Jackson, Prince, The Police, Phil Collins, Sade, Coldplay, OutKast, U2, R. Kelly, Elton John, Hall & Oates... I just love music and sound, the feeling I get when I hear something that moves me. I just can't discrminate.

WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Just life experiences. What I've seen and been through, what's going on now, and what I see for my future. Being alive is enough inspiration for me.

WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE STATE OF MUSIC?

I feel music is missing something. Not "the game" but music in general. Originality is slowing slipping away and labels are trying to control every aspect. But the upside to this is these new artist starting from the ground up have a better chance of creating their career their way.

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO SUCCEED?

I KNOW i will succeed because my God given talent mixed with my team and our grind = success

WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU LOVED MUSIC MORE THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON?

At a very very very young age. Can't even remember. My mother says I used to cry whenever she would turn a radio off.

IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME AT HOW RAPPERS CAN JUST GO OFF THE TOP WHEN FREESTYLIN... HOW DOES THAT WORK FOR YOU, DO YOU JUST SAY AIIGHT IMA GO ON THIS TOPIC OR DOES IT JUST COME TO YOU AS YOUR SPITTIN?

It just comes to me. When I'm recording I freestyle but I can always stop my self and go back. I haven't written down lyrics in 4 years. I even freestyle what I sing.

HOW DOES THE BEAT COME TO YOU? I KNOW SOME PRODUCERS SAMPLE BUT LIKE YOUR OWN ORIGINAL BEAT HOW DOES IT COME TO YOU?

It just does. I can't explain. Whenever I turn on my computer saying, "Imma make something like this...", it never comes out right. I just go with what feels right. I don't like people around when I make tracks either. It's almost sacred. I don't talk AT ALL. I'm just zoned out. No distractions.

WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVE PRODUCERS?

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Teddy Riley, Babyface, The Neptunes, Timbaland, J Dilla, Polow Da Don, Mannie Fresh, The Underdogs, Dr. Dre, David Foster

HOW DID YOU GET INTO PRODUCING/ ENGINEERING?

When I was in the 10th grade my homie told me about Fruity Loops and it's been on ever since.

A BIT ABOUT FORTE BOWIE

Few creative craftsmen can maneuver their music through the overpopulation of pride-
driven punch lines and fraudulent freshness to penetrate the strict perimeter placed
around today’s hipster heavy Hip Hop movement. The dance-dominated demographic
of young emcees visibly emerging among a short list of premier penmen exposes the
vulnerability of quality verses and passion potent vocals. Content can render popular
persecution if not assuming the radio ready formula. Yet, with the prominence of abstract
artists like Kid Cudi and Mike Posner complimenting avant garde rebel rappers such as
Kanye West, there is a proven vacancy for versatile talents who vow to remain true self
and create brilliantly skillful reels of reality.

21 year-old Atlanta-bred beat machine and hip-hop hybrid ForteBowie rightfully
resembles all three through his fusion of sheer emotion and evident hunger, with
witty wordplay and dynamic delivery. Classic samples lay the platform for an eclectic
ensemble of productions that properly inspire raw recaps and true testimonies of a
youthful genius-- vividly expressing the thrills, trials, and triumph that accompany
chasing a self-made promise to pursue a purpose greater than life itself.

His forthcoming projects set to be released in November ’11 are an edgy and unique
presentation that will take listeners on a tour through the mind of a fast-rising music
maven. STAY TUNED FOR THE INTERVIEW : )
